Getting to Carpe Diem
Mazunte is approximately 500 km from the capital Mexico City. The planes arrive either at Huatulco or Puerto Escondido. Both airports are about 45 minutes drive from Mazunte. Your stay in the village does not require a car. If you want to move outside the village, there are collectivo (pick-up with bench and shade) that make the journey between Pochutla and Zipolite regularly for some pesos(8-10). Taxis have a higher fare.
